Apple Inc. is preparing a significant wave of new product launches for the first half of 2026, including updates across its iPhone, iPad, Mac, and display lines.

Bloomberg reported, citing sources familiar with the matter, that the tech giant plans to roll out a refreshed low-end iPhone, multiple iPads, upgraded MacBooks, and a new external display.

These launches are part of a broader strategy to return to more consistent revenue growth after recent quarters of softer demand.

Among the most notable additions is the iPhone 17e, a successor to the current $599 model introduced earlier this year.

The upcoming device, code-named V159, is expected to feature Apple’s latest A19 chip, replacing the A18 processor in the existing version.

The move suggests Apple is shifting to an annual update cycle for its budget iPhone line — a departure from its less frequent iPhone SE refreshes in past years.

Alongside the iPhone, Apple is also planning updates to its entry-level iPads and iPad Air models.

The lower-end iPads, code-named J581 and J582, will retain the current design but include faster processors, likely launching around March or April 2026.

Meanwhile, new iPad Air devices — code-named J707, J708, J737, and J738 — will feature a transition from the M3 to the M4 chip.

Despite minimal design changes, these tablets are expected to launch in the same timeframe as the entry-level iPads.

Macs and displays see upgrades

Apple is also updating its MacBook lineup, though the release timeline has shifted.

New 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, initially scheduled for late 2025, may now be pushed into early 2026.

The upcoming models, code-named J714 and J716, will feature Apple’s next-generation M5 chip and are expected to be the final releases in the current design cycle, which began in 2021.

Future versions will reportedly adopt a new chassis and OLED displays, offering higher contrast and improved efficiency.

Similarly, new MacBook Airs, code-named J813 and J815, are set to debut in the first half of 2026.

Apple also intends to launch a new external Mac display, the first since the 2022 Studio Display. The device, code-named J427, is on track for an early 2026 release.

While some of these devices were previously expected in 2025, Apple has adjusted timelines internally.

The company has historically launched new MacBook Pros in October or November, with the exception of the M2 model in January 2023.

Broader product strategy aims to reignite sales momentum

The wave of early 2026 releases follows Apple’s traditional fall upgrade cycle, which this year includes a redesigned iPhone 17, updated Pro models, new Apple Watches, enhanced iPad Pros, and a faster Vision Pro headset.

Apple’s iPad Pro, with M5 chip upgrades, is expected as early as October.

The planned launches come as Apple seeks to stabilize growth following a post-pandemic sales slowdown.

The company has experienced more uneven demand in recent years, in part due to slower product rollout cycles — especially in the iPad category.

Apple is also continuing work on other projects, including a smart home hub code-named J490.

Originally scheduled for release in March, the device was delayed due to postponed updates to Siri’s voice assistant capabilities. It may now arrive sometime in the first half of 2026.

Apple stock has declined over 12% in the year so far after falling behind in the AI race.
